Fischer-Bossert describes the obverse of this type, of which he only knows our specimen, as a horse with a crooked line underneath - presumably, he only had the small photo from the Hess-Leu catalogue at his disposal. However, with the reemergence of the coin in this sale, the line is now clearly identifiable as the front leg of the animal
